Madhya Pradesh is gearing up for a momentous occasion as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the state once again on August 12. The visit holds special significance as the Prime Minister is scheduled to perform the Bhumi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) of the grand memorial dedicated to Sant Ravidas Ji, a revered spiritual figure. The memorial is located at Badtuma in Sagar, and its inauguration is expected to mark a significant milestone in the state’s cultural and spiritual landscape.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan expressed his happiness in announcing the Prime Minister’s forthcoming visit and the auspicious event. Sant Ravidas Ji, known for his teachings of unity, equality, and social harmony, has left an indelible mark on India’s spiritual and cultural ethos. His teachings resonate with people from all walks of life, transcending boundaries of caste, creed, and religion.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Chauhan shared that the visit holds an additional layer of significance as it coincides with the conclusion of Sant Ravidas Ji’s yatras (spiritual journeys) across the state. These yatras, carrying the message of harmony and inclusivity, have traversed the length and breadth of Madhya Pradesh, leaving a trail of goodwill and understanding in their wake. The culmination of these yatras at the site of the memorial adds a profound sense of completion and symbolism to the occasion.
The Bhumi Pujan of the Sant Ravidas Ji memorial serves as a testament to the enduring legacy of the revered saint and the commitment of the state to honor his teachings. The event is anticipated to draw the attention of not only the local populace but also enthusiasts and devotees from across the nation who hold Sant Ravidas Ji’s teachings close to their hearts.
