Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is all set to embark on a significant journey to Jammu on February 20, 2024, where he will unveil a plethora of transformative projects aimed at bolstering the development landscape of the region.
Multifaceted Development Initiatives:
At the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for various projects amounting to a total of over Rs 30,500 crore. These projects span diverse sectors, including health, education, transportation, and civic infrastructure, underscoring the government’s commitment to holistic progress.
Transforming Education Infrastructure:
In a major boost to the education sector, PM Modi will inaugurate and dedicate projects worth approximately Rs 13,375 crore. These initiatives include the establishment of new campuses for premier institutions such as IITs, IIMs, and Central Sanskrit University, along with the launch of skill training institutes focusing on advanced technologies.
Revolutionizing Healthcare Services:
PM Modi will inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu, aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare services to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a capacity of 720 beds, AIIMS will offer specialized medical care across 18 specialties and 17 super specialties.
Enhancing Connectivity and Infrastructure:
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure projects, including the construction of a new terminal building at Jammu Airport and several road and rail initiatives. These projects will not only improve connectivity but also boost tourism, trade, and economic growth in the region.
Empowering Communities and Strengthening Civic Infrastructure:
PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several other development projects aimed at enhancing civic infrastructure and public facilities across Jammu and Kashmir. From road projects and bridges to grid stations and sewage treatment plants, these initiatives will uplift the quality of life for residents and propel overall socio-economic development.
