Prime Minister Modi is set to partake in the Sashakt Nari – Viksit Bharat program, highlighting the government’s commitment to empowering women, particularly in rural regions. Scheduled for 11th March at 10 AM at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in Pusa, New Delhi, the event will feature agricultural drone demonstrations conducted by Namo Drone Didis.

Notably, Namo Drone Didis from 11 different locations nationwide will simultaneously participate in the drone demonstrations. The initiative underscores the Prime Minister’s vision of leveraging technology to enhance agricultural practices while providing economic opportunities for women.

During the program, Prime Minister Modi will distribute drones to 1,000 Namo Drone Didis, symbolizing a significant step towards women’s empowerment in agriculture. The Namo Drone Didi and Lakhpati Didi initiatives align with the government’s focus on fostering financial autonomy among women, particularly those in rural areas.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi will honor Lakhpati Didis who have achieved success through the support of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission. These individuals serve as inspirations and mentors within their communities, motivating other Self-Help Group members towards self-improvement and economic upliftment.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will facilitate the disbursement of approximately Rs 8,000 crore in bank loans to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at subsidized interest rates through Bank Linkage Camps established by banks in each district. Furthermore, around Rs 2,000 crore will be allocated as Capitalization Support Fund to SHGs, furthering the mission of economic empowerment and financial inclusion.

Through such initiatives, Prime Minister Modi aims to create a more equitable and prosperous society by empowering women in agriculture and fostering economic growth in rural India.
