Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Unveil Key Development Projects in Rewari, Haryana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a significant visit to Rewari, Haryana on February 16, 2024, where he will unveil a slew of transformative development projects totaling over Rs 9750 crore.

One of the highlights of the visit is the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Gurugram Metro Rail project, a crucial endeavor aimed at enhancing urban connectivity. With an estimated cost of Rs 5450 crore, this metro rail project will span 28.5 kilometers, linking Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and integrating seamlessly with the existing metro network. The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of establishing world-class, eco-friendly mass rapid urban transport systems.

In a significant stride towards bolstering public health infrastructure, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rewari, Haryana. Valued at approximately Rs 1650 crore, AIIMS Rewari will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a hospital complex, medical and nursing colleges, and residential accommodations. This premier healthcare institution, established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, will provide comprehensive tertiary care services to the people of Haryana.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar in Kurukshetra, a pioneering experiential museum designed to vividly narrate the epic tale of the Mahabharata and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. Leveraging cutting-edge technology such as Augmented Reality and 3D laser, this museum promises an immersive experience for visitors, enriching their understanding of ancient scriptures.

“Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate several railway projects aimed at enhancing rail connectivity and infrastructure in the region. These initiatives include the doubling of rail lines and the inauguration of the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line, which will significantly reduce travel time and improve connectivity between Rohtak and Hisar”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Rewari underscores the government’s commitment to driving inclusive growth and development across various sectors, thereby empowering communities and fostering progress in the region.
