The music video showcases the Indian Army, led by Ishaan as Capt. Balram Singh Mehta is on a mission to confront India’s deadliest war, with A. R. Rahman’s electrifying composition setting the stage.
Composed by the maestro A. R. Rahman, ‘Rampage Rap features foot-tapping, adrenalin-pumping beats that not only send shivers down viewers’ spines but also keep them engrossed in the unfolding storyline. Written by MC Heam and performed by MC Heam and Krystal, the song evokes a profound sense of patriotism with its fast-paced rap.
A. R. Rahman commented on the song, stating, “The ‘Rampage Rap’ represents an ambitious effort to infuse the vibrant energy of rap while staying true to tradition and the film’s theme. MC Heam’s remarkable 7/8 rap performance is a rarity and a testament to his talent. Krystal, a seasoned Broadway artist, lends her expressive voice to this age-old art form. Collaborating with Raja Menon for the first time was truly inspiring, as he embraced innovative ideas warmly.”
‘Pippa,’ produced by Ronnie Screwvala under RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films, is directed by Raja Krishna Menon. The film stars Ishaan in the role of real-life war hero Captain Balram Singh Mehta, alongside Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles.
