Priyanka was born in Jamshedpur, India, to parents who were both doctors. She originally wanted to be a lawyer, but after being encouraged by her mother to pursue acting, she moved to Mumbai to start her Bollywood career. Her big break came in the form of the film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, which was a huge success at the box office.
Since then, Priyanka has starred in a string of hit films, including Krrish, Don and Fashion. She has also won numerous awards, including the National Film Award and the Filmfare Award.
