Without providing much context, Kundra wrote, “We have separated and kindly request you to give us time during this difficult period.” The enigmatic post left many internet users speculating about the status of his marriage, with some even considering it a promotional stunt.

In contrast, Shilpa Shetty, Raj’s wife, has not made a similar announcement on her social media profiles, maintaining a conspicuous silence.

Raj Kundra’s separation announcement came shortly after he unveiled the trailer for his debut film, UT69, where he will be starring as the lead. The movie is centered around his experience during his time in jail.
Legal Troubles and the Controversy
Raj Kundra had faced legal troubles in the past when he was arrested and incarcerated in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail in a case related to alleged pornography in July 2021. This incident had caused significant controversy at the time. He was released in September of the same year after securing bail, having been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act.

Raj Kundra, who has consistently claimed that he was framed in the case, plans to share his version of events through his film, UT69, set to be released in theaters on November 3.

In a recent interview, Raj discussed Shilpa’s initial reaction to his film idea. He mentioned that she was initially skeptical but eventually became supportive. She even humorously asked if he could handle acting, to which he replied that he had undergone some “method acting” during his time in jail.
