Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu lauded Rajiv Pratap Rudy, the National Spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), for his unwavering articulation of the party’s stance and his ever-positive aura. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, born on March 30, 1962, is a prominent Indian politician affiliated with the BJP and currently serves as a Member of Parliament representing the Saran constituency in Bihar, India. In 2014, Rudy assumed office as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in Narendra Modi’s government. Concurrently, he held the Parliamentary Affairs portfolio jointly with Minister of State Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. Rudy’s appointment marked a significant milestone in his political career, reflecting his dedication to fostering skill development and entrepreneurship initiatives in India.
Before his ministerial responsibilities, Rajeev Pratap Rudy served as a General Secretary of the BJP, a position he relinquished upon assuming governmental duties. Beyond his political commitments, Rudy boasts a diverse skill set, notably holding a commercial pilot’s license and being a trained pilot. His aviation prowess earned him a notable mention in the Limca Book of Records as the sole parliamentarian to fly a commercial aircraft—an Airbus A320 for Indigo Airlines.
