On the 12th of January, Rajnath Singh said on Twitter that I have had a very long and very intimate relationship with Sharadji. Sharadji’s demise is a big loss, even though he was very simple and unassuming by nature. I express my condolences to his bereaved family and supporters in this hour of grief.
Know About Sharad Yadav:-
Sharad Yadav, who was born on July 1, 1947, and died on January 12, 2023, was an Indian politician from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party. He was elected seven times to Lok Sabha and thrice to Rajya Sabha from JD(U).
He was the national president of Janata Dal (United) from 2003 to 2016. He was removed from party leadership positions and disqualified from Rajya Sabha for engaging in anti-party activities.
Yadav was elected to Lok Sabha for the first time in 1974 from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh in a by-poll. He was the first candidate chosen by Shri Jai Prakash Narayan for the political arena on the election symbol of Haldar Kisan during the JP Movement. He was re-elected from the same constituency in 1977.
He sided with the Charan Singh faction when Janata Party split in 1979. Sharad Yadav was the losing candidate on the Lok Dal ticket when Rajiv Gandhi first entered Lok Sabha by winning a by-poll from Amethi in 1981.
PM Modi was Pained by the passing away of Shri Sharad Yadav Ji. “During his long years in public life,” he said, “he distinguished himself as an MP and Minister.” Dr. Lohia’s ideals greatly inspired him. I will always cherish our time together. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and admirers.
Droupadi Murmu said Saddened to know about the passing away of former Union Minister Shri Sharad Yadav. She said that Sharad ji, a student leader of the seventies who fought for democratic values, the marginalized had an important national voice in Parliament. To his family and admirers, my deepest condolences.
