In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has shared his condolences and expressed profound grief over the tragic loss of lives, including eight Army personnel, in the recent flash floods that were triggered by a glacial lake burst in the picturesque region of Sikkim.

Ongoing Search and Rescue Operations
The Defense Minister also acknowledged that out of the 23 soldiers who had gone missing, one was successfully rescued, while the mortal remains of eight brave soldiers were recovered. These soldiers had been deployed in forward areas, serving the nation with dedication and valor. Their sacrifice will be eternally remembered.
