The official inauguration of Nausena Bhawan, the brand-new Headquarters of the Indian Navy situated at Delhi Cantt., represents a momentous occasion in the Navy’s journey toward modernization and consolidation. Led by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, the ceremony on March 15, 2024, symbolizes the Navy’s transition to a centralized and purpose-built facility in the heart of the capital city.

Previously dispersed across 13 different locations, the establishment of Nausena Bhawan addresses the need for a unified and state-of-the-art headquarters for the Indian Navy. The architectural design, chosen through a rigorous all-India Competition process, showcases both functionality and aesthetic appeal, embodying the Navy’s commitment to excellence.

Spanning three wings and four stories, Nausena Bhawan incorporates innovative construction technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability. Energy and water conservation efforts are integrated throughout the complex, featuring solar generation systems and advanced building materials. The Hybrid Reinforced Cement Concrete Construction system ensures rapid construction with large spans, while landscaped gardens and internal courtyards foster a harmonious connection with nature.

Internally, the building boasts a comfortable environment facilitated by a Central Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning system utilizing Advanced Oxidation Plasma technology. With its state-of-the-art Integrated Building Management System, Nausena Bhawan ensures effective coordination and monitoring of security services and utility systems.

With a Green Rating IV certification under the Integrated Habitability Assessment, the complex demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable practices. Furthermore, it features a robust three-tier security system, incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as Automatic Underbelly scanning of vehicles, Power fences, Face Recognition Cameras, and Access Control measures.

Embracing modern office practices, Nausena Bhawan is equipped with extensive IT infrastructure supported by UPS systems, promoting a paperless work environment and meeting the stringent network requirements of the Navy.
