Cool Comfort: Ram Mandir Dresses Bhagwan Ramlala in Cotton Attire

The Ram Mandir, situated in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is a revered Hindu temple complex believed to stand on the sacred grounds of Ram Janmabhoomi, the birthplace of Lord Rama. Inaugurated on January 22, 2024, following a consecration ceremony, it holds immense significance for Hindus worldwide.

As the summer season unfolds and temperatures soar, a thoughtful change is underway. Starting today, Bhagwan Shri Ramlala, the deity within the temple, will be adorned in cotton vastra. This decision ensures comfort for the divine idol amidst the sweltering heat. The vastra, crafted from handloom cotton malmal and dyed with natural indigo, is embellished with delicate gotta flowers, symbolizing purity and simplicity.

The journey towards the construction of the Ram temple began with the Bhoomipujan ceremony on August 5, 2020. Spearheaded by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the temple’s construction has been diligently overseen. The ongoing construction endeavors aim to manifest the grandeur envisioned for this sacred site.

With the temple’s inauguration, devotees rejoice in the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. The Ram Mandir stands not only as a symbol of religious devotion but also as a testament to the unity and cultural heritage of India. As preparations continue and milestones are reached, the Ram Mandir serves as a beacon of faith, inspiring generations to come.
