The Church of England has announced the appointment of Reverend Dr. Sarah Jones as the new Dean of Christ Church. Jones will succeed Martyn Percy and will begin her role in September 2023.
Jones has an extensive academic background, having earned a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Cambridge University and a Master of Divinity from Yale University. She has also worked in various leadership roles in the Church of England, including serving as the Director of Mission and Ministry in the Diocese of Bristol.
Currently, Jones is serving as the Canon for Stewardship at Salisbury Cathedral and is excited about her new appointment. She hopes to use her experience to support and empower the community of Christ Church.
