On the 18th of February Infrastructure development is happening at a fast pace in the Modi government with the help of PM Gati Shakti.
Infrastructure development has been a major focus area for the Modi government since Modi came to power in 2014. With the launch of PM Gati Shakti, the infrastructure development efforts of the government have received a major boost.
PM Gati Shakti is a national master plan for infrastructure development, aimed at accelerating the pace of infrastructure development in the country. The plan involves the development of various sectors such as roads, railways, airports, and ports, as well as the creation of new infrastructure in areas such as waterways, logistics, and energy. The primary objective of PM Gati Shakti is to create a seamless and integrated infrastructure network in the country, which will not only reduce transportation costs and time but also increase efficiency and productivity.
One of the key highlights of PM Gati Shakti is the creation of a digital platform that will connect all modes of transportation and logistics, including roads, railways, ports, and airports. The platform will enable the tracking of goods and services in real time, reducing delays and improving the overall efficiency of the transportation system. The government has also proposed the development of 21 greenfield airports, which will significantly improve connectivity in remote areas of the country.
Another important aspect of PM Gati Shakti is the development of road infrastructure. The government has proposed the creation of a new network of expressways and highways, which will connect the length and breadth of the country. This will not only improve connectivity but also reduce the time taken for the transportation of goods and services. The government has also allocated significant funds for the development of rural roads, which will improve the standard of living for those residing in remote areas.
The Modi government has also laid emphasis on the development of waterways, which is a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable mode of transportation. The government has already launched several waterway projects, including the National Waterway 1, which connects Haldia in West Bengal to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. The development of waterways will not only reduce transportation costs but also provide a boost to the tourism industry.
