Actress and television presenter Sakshi Tanwar is Indian. Tanwar gained fame for her role as Parvati Agarwal in the soap opera, ”Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii”, after her television debut in 1998 with ”Albela Sur Mela”. She played Priya Kapoor from 2011 to 2014 opposite Ram Kapoor in “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.” She made a third appearance on the reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati in December 2012.
Tanwar played Daya Kaur in the 2016 film Dangal, wife of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir Khan). The film is about Phogat training his daughters to be world-class wrestlers against social odds.
‘Dial 100’ (2021) is a thriller drama film directed by Rensil D’Silva and produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Sidharth P. Malhotra, and Sapna Malhotra. Sakshi Tanwar played the lead role in it.
Early life:
Sakshi Tanwar was born in 1973 to a retired CBI officer in a middle-class Rajput family in Alwar, Rajasthan, India. She graduated from Lady Shri Ram College in New Delhi after being educated in many Kendriya Vidyalayas. She was the secretary and president of the dramatic society in college.
She was selected as the presenter after giving an audition for the national broadcaster Doordarshan’s film songs-based program ‘Albela Sur Mela’ in 1998. Sakshi became a single mother in 2018 when she adopted a nine-month-old baby girl, Dityaa Tanwar.
