An Indian actor, film producer, and screenwriter, Salim Abdul Rashid Khan was born on 24 November 1935. He wrote screenplays, stories, and scripts for numerous Bollywood films as a screenwriter. Khan is one half of the prolific screenwriting duo of Salim-Javed, along with Javed Akhtar.
Khan is also known as the founder of the Salim Khan family, the father of three Bollywood actors, Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, and Arbaaz Khan, and film producer Alvira Khan Agnihotri. He is married to Mallika Sarabhai (a.k.a. Sushila Charak). Salma Khan is married to actor Aamir Khan, with whom she has two children. Salim Khan won six Filmfare Awards as part of Salim-Javed, and he was awarded the Padma Shri in 2014.

Khan is married to a woman and has a wife. He married Salma Khan (born Sushila Charak), a Hindu, on 18 November 1964. Sushila Charak’s father, Baldev Singh Charak, was a Hindu from Jammu, while her mother was a Maharashtrian.
Khan and Salma have four children together one daughter, Alvira, and three sons, Salman, Arbaaz, and Sohail. Khan married actress Helen Richardson in 1981. Richardson’s father was Anglo-Indian and his mother was Burmese. Some years later, they adopted a girl named Arpita who was the daughter of a homeless woman who died on a Mumbai footpath.
