As the tech world eagerly awaits the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for January 17, 2024, new speculations regarding the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup have emerged. A recent report from Korea, via Ppomppu, has disclosed the alleged pricing details, particularly focusing on the potential cost differences based on storage capacities.
Pricing Details:
According to the leak, the base models of the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24+ with 256GB of storage are expected to maintain a pricing structure similar to their 2023 counterparts. However, a noteworthy change may occur for the 512GB storage variants, suggesting a possible price increase.
- The Galaxy S24 Ultra, the top-tier model in the lineup, is rumored to see an uptick in pricing across all configurations. The 256GB storage version is speculated to be priced at KRW 1,698,400 (approximately Rs. 1,08,000), while the 512GB variant could cost KRW 1,841,400 (approximately Rs. 1,17,100).
- The Galaxy S24+ is expected to be priced at KRW 1,353,000 (approximately Rs. 86,000) for the 256GB storage model and KRW 1,496,000 (approximately Rs. 95,000) for the 512GB version.
- The vanilla Galaxy S24, on the other hand, maybe priced at KRW 1,155,000 (approximately Rs. 73,000) for the 256GB variant and KRW 1,298,000 (approximately Rs. 82,000) for the 512GB storage model. Interestingly, this is pricier than the 512GB variant of the Galaxy S23.
Notably, the 512GB models of both the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are rumored to be KRW 22,000 (approximately Rs. 1,300) more costly than their Galaxy S23 counterparts.
Event Details:
Samsung will be hosting its first Galaxy Unpacked event for 2024 on January 17 at 11.30 pm IST (1.00 pm EST) at the SAP in San Jose, California. The company has already initiated reservations for the Galaxy S24 series in India.
Processor Information:
The Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24+ are anticipated to come equipped with the ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy’ across all global markets. In contrast, the Galaxy S24 may vary in its processor, utilizing either the Qualcomm chip or the Exynos 2400 chip depending on the region.
As the launch date approaches, these leaked pricing details add another layer of anticipation to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series, leaving consumers eager to explore the new features and improvements in the latest flagship smartphones.
