The Central Water Commission’s latest flood forecast has raised alarms as River Ghagra, located in the Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh, continues to flow at a level that surpasses its danger mark. According to the official flood forecast, River Ghagra at Ayodhya is currently flowing at a level of 93.22 meters, demonstrating a steady trend. This measurement is notably 0.49 meters above its established danger level, which is set at 92.73 meters. The elevated water level indicates an increased threat of flooding, which can lead to significant damage to property, infrastructure, and livelihoods in the affected region.
