Dussehra, a time for rejoicing in the victory of good over evil, brings forth a tapestry of vibrant festivities. These include captivating stage dramas portraying the epic tale of the Ramayana, the fiery spectacle of demon effigies being set ablaze, and bustling grand fairs. According to ancient mythology, on this significant day, Lord Rama vanquished the demon king Ravana after a relentless pursuit, symbolizing the ultimate triumph of virtue over malevolence. As the joyous occasion approaches, people eagerly anticipate and prepare to revel in the celebrations with boundless zeal and excitement.
On the 24th of October, 2023, Shamita Shetty, a finalist on the reality TV show “Bigg Boss 15,” observed a divine celebration of Dussehra. The actress generously offered a glimpse of this sacred moment via her social media platform.
Shamita Shetty’s Dussehra Celebration Unveiled
Within the confines of her home, Shamita Shetty partook in a divine puja to mark the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. In a heartfelt video shared by the actress, one could witness her deep immersion in the spiritual atmosphere. Adhering to the guidance of the priest presiding over the puja, the surroundings exuded an aura of tranquility and serenity. To add a touch of charm to the video, a delightful moment featured Shamita’s niece, Samisha, the daughter of Shilpa Shetty. When prompted to recite a bhajan, Samisha dutifully complied, but soon enough, her childlike exuberance took over as she playfully pranced around, much to the amusement of those present.
Accompanying the video was Shamita’s heartfelt caption: “Happy Dussehra, everyone. May Ma Durga bless your family & you with happiness, love, & prosperity, always.”
Shamita Shetty’s Television Journey
Shamita Shetty embarked on her television journey as a contestant on “Bigg Boss” Season 5. However, her stint on the show was abbreviated as she had to depart prematurely. Subsequently, she participated in “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8” in 2015. Expanding her horizons further, Shetty also took on the challenges of “Khatron Ke Khiladi 9” in 2019.
Later, she secured a spot on “Bigg Boss OTT” Season 1, where she made it to the finals. Her success in the OTT version granted her a direct entry into “Bigg Boss 15.” During her time on “Bigg Boss OTT,” Shamita Shetty found herself entangled in a romantic relationship with fellow contestant Raqesh Bapat. However, this love story met its end a few months after the show concluded.
