Sharing the first look from his upcoming Marathi film ”Vedat Marathe Veer Daude Saat” on Tuesday, Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Marathi film debut. In the Mahesh Manjrekar-directed period drama, the actor plays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Akshay wrote, “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji,” sharing the first look of the film on social media. Earlier on Tuesday, the actor shared a post announcing his association with the project. He wrote in Hindi: “Today I start shooting for Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Sat in which I am fortunate to play I am capable.” Shivaji Maharaj was a great king. I will take inspiration from his life and blessings of Mata Jijau Mata and try my best. God bless us.
This film is being shot with Wasim Qureshi producing it, one of the most glorious pages of history, Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of Swarajya. This film is not just a story, and it’s not even a war. The film is about the success of Hindu Swarajya and a selfless act of glory. Akshay Kumar wrote, “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji!”
Vaseem Qureshi will produce ”Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat”. The film is set to release in cinemas on Diwali 2023 in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
