The star-studded thriller “Shaitaan,” featuring Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Jyothika, has garnered significant attention since its release. On its first day, the film exceeded all expectations, earning an impressive ₹15.21 crores at the box office, comparable to the successful “Drishyam 2.” Strong advance bookings across national chains hinted at a promising start, with spot bookings further boosting its performance.
“Shaitaan” stands out as one of the few Hindi films to resonate with both urban audiences and mass pockets. Ajay Devgn’s star power, particularly in the mass belt, coupled with the intriguing title, contributed to its strong opening. Additionally, the partial holiday of Maha Shivratri provided a significant boost to its Day 1 earnings.
