“Sonu sir inspired me especially with what he did during the time of Covid lockdown… the way he went out of his way to help people,” said Varun Dhawan, dedicating his award to Sonu.
At the recently held ET Agents of Change award ceremony in Mumbai, actor Varun Dhawan dedicated his ‘Gamechanger of the Year’ award to actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood. After Varun won his award, he dedicated it to Sonu Sood, his inspiration, who is being known as the nation’s hero.
“Sonu sir inspired me especially with what he did during the time of Covid lockdown. the way he went out of his way to help people,” said Varun Dhawan while dedicating his award to Sonu. He contracted Covid at that time, but still he stepped out and helped people.
I want to dedicate this award to Sonu sir from the bottom of my heart.”You inspire me and so many Indians,” Varun adds. “You taught us how we can use our privilege to help others in such trying times.”
There is hope in humanity time and again proved by Sonu Sood. The actor, who has been rightly hailed as the ‘Nation’s hero’, has provided relief to thousands of people during the most difficult Covid period and has never once backed down.The actor-philanthropist has often dedicated his endorsements and funds to multiple projects that help bring light to the plights of common man and help them facilitate a better lifestyle.
