On the 8th of November eve of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Parkash Purab PM Modi Greetings people and said “the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, May his noble teachings continue to guide us in our endeavor of building a just and compassionate society.”

A total Lunar Eclipse or Chandra Grahan (also known as the Blood Moon) will take place this year on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. Guru Nanak is believed to be the 1st Guru of Sikhism. Because Guru Nanak Dev was born at Talwandi Nankana Sahib, he is addressed as Nanak.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi said;

Modi Ji extended his heartfelt greetings to 130 crore people on the Sikh guru’s 553rd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. Gurunanak Ji is the first Guru of Sikhs and our country is going in a new direction of success by being inspired by him. Modi Ji said Guru Nanak Ji is an example of our country.

The Guru Nanak Gurpurab is one of the most important festivals in Sikhism. It celebrates the birth of the founder of the religion, Guru Nanak. The festival is typically celebrated in November or December. 

One of the most celebrated Sikh gurus and the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev is highly revered by the Sikh community. Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurpurab, also known as Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav, celebrates the birth of the 1st Sikh guru, Guru Nanak. Sikhi, or Sikhism, is one of the most sacred festivals.

The anniversaries of the 10 Sikh Gurus are the center of the Sikh religious festivities. The beliefs of the Sikhs were shaped by these Gurus. Among the Sikhs, their birthdays, known as Gurpurab, are occasions for celebration and prayer.
