Haldi is a traditional Indian pre-wedding ceremony where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom’s bodies to bring out their inner glow. The Haldi function was a private affair with only close friends & family in attendance.
The Mehndi Function:
After the Haldi function, it was time for the Mehndi function. The Mehndi function is another traditional Indian pre-wedding ceremony where intricate henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet. It is believed that the darker the henna color, the deeper the love between the couple. The Mehndi function was a colorful affair with Swara Bhaskar wearing an orange color suit for her mehendi function, in which she was looking very beautiful.
