In the midst of multiple film releases in 2024, some soared while others failed to meet expectations. Among them, one standout emerged as the year’s first blockbuster across eleven languages, penned and directed by Prashant Varma.
Released on January 12, “HanuMan” made a monumental impact by debuting simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Its arrival sparked a frenzy at cinemas, quickly catapulting it to box office success.
Lead actor Teja Sajja garnered immense love from audiences, propelling the film’s success further. Now, “HanuMan” gears up to knock on the doors of OTT platforms, ready to extend its triumph beyond theaters.
The film’s remarkable journey is evidenced by its staggering box office figures: ₹22.92 crores in its first week, followed by ₹16.67 crores in the second week, ₹6.47 crores in the third week, ₹3.68 crores in the fourth week, and ₹1.02 crores in the fifth weekend, culminating in a grand total of ₹50.76 crores in India alone.
As “HanuMan” achieves the remarkable feat of crossing the ₹50 crores mark, it solidifies its status as a cinematic marvel and a testament to the power of multilingual storytelling, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
