Thalapathy Vijay’s latest offering, “LEO,” has finally made its way to the silver screen on October 19, 2023. Directed by the exceptionally talented Lokesh Kanagaraj, this film stands poised to break existing box office records.
Mixed Responses: Early Reviews for LEO
As eager audiences await another spectacular visual experience, early reviews for “LEO” have ignited a mixed array of reactions. The film, also marketed as “Leo: Bloody Sweet,” is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action thriller. It features an ensemble cast, including Vijay in the titular role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand. “LEO” is the third installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, following the success of “Vikram” in 2022.
The Journey of LEO: From Announcement to Completion
The film was officially unveiled in January 2023 with the tentative title “Thalapathy 67,” denoting Vijay’s 67th lead role in the film. Shortly thereafter, the official title was revealed. Principal photography commenced in Chennai that same month and included sporadic shooting schedules in the picturesque locale of Kashmir. The shooting process concluded with another schedule back in Chennai, wrapping up by mid-July. The film boasts a remarkable musical score by Anirudh Ravichander, captivating cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and seamless editing by Philomin Raj.
The Thrilling Premise of “LEO”
The story revolves around Parthiban, a chocolatier known as “Parthi,” who finds himself in the crosshairs of ruthless gangsters Antony and Harold Das. These criminals suspect Parthi to be their long-lost relative, Leo Das.
