A Glimpse into “The Great Indian Family”
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, “The Great Indian Family” casts Vicky Kaushal in the role of Bhajan Kumar, also known as Ves Vyas Tripathi, a local singer. Bhajan Kumar’s unique talent has made him a revered Pandit in his community, to the extent that when he attempts to woo a girl, she seeks his blessings by touching his feet. Despite his reputation, Bhajan Kumar, also known as Ved, is on a quest to find true love. His life takes a dramatic turn when Manushi Chhillar’s character enters his world.
Ved’s love story seems to be on the right track until a significant family crisis disrupts their lives. The plot takes a riveting twist when Bhajan Kumar, born into an ancestral Pandit family, discovers the shocking truth about his birth. The once-happy Pandit family learns that Ved, whom they regard as the pride of their clan, is not a Pandit but a Muslim. This revelation sends shockwaves through Ved’s life and his family.
