As the third phase of General Elections unfolds, voter turnout trends emerge, shedding light on citizen participation across states/UTs. By 11:40 pm, the approximate nationwide voter turnout stands at 64.4%, with live updates accessible through the VTR App.
Here’s a breakdown of state-wise voter turnout:
- Assam: 81.61%
- Bihar: 58.18%
- Chhattisgarh: 71.06%
- Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu: 69.87%
- Goa: 75.20%
- Gujarat: 58.98%
- Karnataka: 70.41%
- Madhya Pradesh: 66.05%
- Maharashtra: 61.44%
- Uttar Pradesh: 57.34%
- West Bengal: 75.79%
The cumulative data from these 11 states/UTs, comprising 93 Parliamentary Constituencies, reflects an overall voter turnout of 64.40%. It’s important to note that this data is subject to updates as polling parties return, and excludes Postal Ballot figures.
