The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the extension of the last date of registration for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET-(UG)] -2024 until April 5, 2024. This decision comes in response to requests received from candidates and other stakeholders, as detailed in a recent public notice issued by the UGC.
As per the notice, candidates now have the opportunity to submit their applications online until 9.50 pm on April 5, 2024. Additionally, the successful final transaction of fees can be completed from March 31, 2024, to April 5, 2024, up to 11.50 pm. Furthermore, the correction window for any particulars is open from April 6, 2024, to April 7, 2024, up to 11.50 pm.
Candidates and other stakeholders are advised to take note of the revised deadlines and proceed accordingly, as stated in the notice. Moreover, to facilitate identification, candidates may utilize their school or any other valid government identity card with a photograph, as per various representations received regarding verification.
Earlier announcements by UGC chief M Jagadesh Kumar highlighted several initiatives outlined by the Commission to ensure a smooth and hassle-free CUET-UG experience. These measures encompass expanding the number of testing centers, conducting examinations in a hybrid format, guaranteeing prompt availability of admit cards, scheduling breaks between exams held on the same day, and ensuring a moderate level of difficulty in tests.
With the extended registration deadline and the implementation of these initiatives, UGC aims to streamline the CUET-UG process and provide candidates with a conducive environment to demonstrate their academic capabilities effectively.
