UK Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly MP Visits Kazakhstan.

On Saturday 18 March 2023, UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly MP is set to visit Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, to strengthen the strategic partnership between the UK and Kazakhstan. This will be Cleverly’s first bilateral visit to the country, where he will meet with His Excellency President Tokayev, the Prime Minister, and other ministers.

Over the past 31 years, the UK and Kazakhstan have developed a strong strategic partnership across several sectors, including trade and investment, education, security and peacekeeping, finance, and law. During the visit, Cleverly will discuss ways to strengthen and enhance this partnership further.

Apart from meeting with government officials, Cleverly will also engage with representatives from the business, civil society, and higher education sectors, as well as Bolashak and Chevening alumni.
