The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has initiated the process for direct recruitment to the coveted posts of Computer Operator Grade–A in the Uttar Pradesh Police Force. The official advertisement, detailing the recruitment process, eligibility criteria, and other essential information, is now available on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Board, www.uppbpb.gov.in.
Application Period: The application window for this recruitment drive is set to run from January 7 to January 28, 2024.
Age Limit: Candidates aspiring for the Computer Operator position must be between 18 to 28 years of age. The candidate’s date of birth should fall between July 1, 1995, and July 1, 2005.
Application Fee: All categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 400. The fee can be paid through E-Challan, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking mode.

Education Qualification: Candidates should have passed the Intermediate (12th) examination with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board. Additionally, candidates must have either passed the “O” Level examination in Computer from DOEACC or possess a Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering from the Council of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh.
Pay Scale: The selected candidates for the Computer Operator Grade A position will be placed in Band 5,200 – 20,200 with a Grade Pay of 2,400 in the New Pay Matrix, ranging from 25,500 to 81,100.
Recruitment Process: The selection process involves four stages: Online Written Exam, Document Verification, Skill Test/Type Test/Steno Test, and the Final List.

Exam Pattern: The written examination will consist of 200 questions, with 1.25 marks allotted for each correct answer. The subjects covered include General Knowledge, Mental Aptitude, Logical Ability, and Computer Science. The exam duration is set at 2.00 hours.
