Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conveyed heartfelt birthday wishes to the Union Minister of State for Defense and prominent MP from Nainital Lok Sabha seat, Shri Ajay Bhatt. Extending his greetings, CM Dhami expressed his hope for Maa Naina Devi’s blessings to bestow upon Ajay Bhatt a life filled with longevity, prosperity, and good health.
Ajay Bhatt, born on May 1, 1961, is a seasoned Indian politician who currently serves as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Tourism in the Second Modi Ministry. He represents the Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar constituency in the Lok Sabha and has a distinguished political career.
In the 2019 General Elections, Ajay Bhatt secured a resounding victory, defeating former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and senior Indian National Congress leader Harish Rawat by a significant margin of 3,39,096 votes. Prior to his stint as a Union Minister, Bhatt served as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttarakhand and held various ministerial portfolios in the Government of Uttarakhand.
Renowned for his leadership and political acumen, Ajay Bhatt has also served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and as an MLA from the Ranikhet Legislative Assembly constituency. His contribution to Uttarakhand politics has earned him respect as one of the senior-most BJP leaders in the state.
On his birthday, CM Dhami’s warm wishes reflect the camaraderie and unity among political leaders in Uttarakhand, highlighting the importance of fostering goodwill and mutual respect across party lines. As Ajay Bhatt celebrates another year of life, his dedication to public service and commitment to the welfare of the people remain steadfast, embodying the essence of leadership and statesmanship.
