Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced the posthumous awarding of Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, to former Prime Ministers Chaudhary Charan Singh and PV Narasimha Rao, former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, and the ‘Father of Green Revolution,’ Dr. MS Swaminathan. The accolade, bestowed by President Smt. Draupadi Murmu commemorates their remarkable contributions to society.
In a statement, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed reverence for these iconic figures, acknowledging their unparalleled dedication to nation-building and societal upliftment.
