Renowned film actor Junior Mehmood bid farewell to the world at the age of 67 after a prolonged battle with cancer. His health had been steadily declining, leading to his placement on a ventilator, unfortunately, without success. Junior Mehmood fought stomach cancer in its fourth stage, ultimately succumbing to the illness.
The entertainment industry is somber as it grapples with the news of Junior Mehmood’s passing. The actor had been battling fourth-stage cancer, a condition that significantly impacted his lungs and other crucial organs.
Several film actors, including Johnny Lever, Jitendra, and Sachin Pilgaonkar, visited Junior Mehmood upon learning of his illness. Johnny Lever was the first to inquire about his health, followed by Jitendra, who fulfilled Junior Mehmood’s last wish. Additionally, Sachin Pilgaonkar paid a visit to the ailing actor.
Junior Mehmood, originally named Naeem Syed, starred in approximately 265 films across seven languages. The title “Junior Mehmood” was bestowed upon him by the veteran actor Mehmood Ali. Beginning his film career as a child actor in the 60s and 70s, Junior Mehmood appeared in numerous films. Some of his memorable works include “Caravan,” “Judaai,” “Dadagiri,” “Haathi Mere Saathi,” “Mera Naam Joker,” “Aap Ki Kasam,” “Khoon Ka Karz,” “Bewafa Sanam,” and “Chhoti Bahu.” His contributions to the world of cinema will be remembered fondly by fans and colleagues alike.
