The Vice-President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, is scheduled to embark on a significant visit to Dharwad, Karnataka on March 1, 2024. During his one-day tour, Shri Dhankhar will partake in several inaugural events and ceremonies aimed at bolstering educational and healthcare infrastructure in the region.
A focal point of Shri Dhankhar’s visit will be the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad, where he will inaugurate essential infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the academic and research capabilities of the institute. Among the projects to be inaugurated are the Main Gate Complex, the Knowledge Resource and Data Centre (KRDC), and the Central Learning Theatre (CLT). Additionally, the Vice-President will lay the foundation stone for a Rooftop Solar Panel facility, emphasizing sustainable energy solutions in educational institutions.
In addition to his engagements at IIT Dharwad, Vice-President Dhankhar will serve as the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony of the M.M. Joshi Eye Institute-EYESIRI. This state-of-the-art super-specialty eye hospital is poised to provide advanced eye care services to the residents of Dharwad and surrounding areas, marking a significant milestone in the healthcare infrastructure of the region.
Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to fostering educational excellence and improving healthcare accessibility in Karnataka. By inaugurating key infrastructure projects and lending support to initiatives aimed at promoting academic and medical advancement, the Vice-President aims to contribute to the overall development and well-being of the region.
The visit of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Dharwad holds significance not only for the local community but also for the broader objectives of promoting education, research, and healthcare excellence across the country. It is anticipated that his presence and participation will inspire and motivate stakeholders to continue their efforts toward achieving excellence in their respective fields.
