An Indian actor known for his work in Hindi films, Vicky Kaushal was born on 16 May 1988. Kaushal has received numerous accolades, including a National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards. He has also appeared on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list for 2019.
He began his film career by assisting Anurag Kashyap in the 2012 crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur and went on to play minor roles in two of Kashyap’s productions after graduating with an engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology.
Following his first leading role in the 2015 drama Masaan, he starred in the psychological thriller Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016). In 2018, Kaushal gained wider recognition with supporting roles in Raazi and Sanju, two of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year. Vicky Kaushal won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for the latter.
