Anand Mahindra, known for his active presence on social media, recently showcased an inventive water-cleaning solution via a video on X. The clip features an autonomous robot utilized in China for water cleaning, prompting discussions and admiration from Mahindra’s followers. The chairman expressed his desire to witness such innovations locally, inviting startups to contribute promising ideas.
In the shared video, the autonomous robot submerges into a water body, equipped with a slide-like structure moving upwards. Rotators with brushes on each side collect surface waste as they rotate, transferring it onto the slide. The slide, featuring holes, separates water from the waste material, efficiently addressing surface pollution in water bodies.
Anand Mahindra, impressed by the technology, stated, “Autonomous robot for cleaning rivers. Looks like it’s Chinese? We need to make these… right here… right now. If any startups are doing this… I’m ready to invest…”
The post quickly garnered attention, amassing 2,44,700 views and generating positive responses. Followers applauded the idea and echoed Anand Mahindra’s call for local production. One user emphasized the demand for such solutions in cities like Hyderabad, encouraging the development of these innovative water-cleaning robots. Mahindra’s social media engagement once again underscores the potential for impactful local innovations in addressing environmental challenges.
