The anticipation for War 2 has hit a new high as stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR have officially wrapped up the filming of their much-awaited action thriller. The sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, the film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Kiara Advani in a pivotal role. Backed by Yash Raj Films, War 2 is part of the growing YRF Spy Universe that includes heavyweights like Pathaan and the Tiger series.
On Tuesday, Hrithik Roshan took to social media to share the emotional milestone with fans. In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), the actor, who reprises his role as the enigmatic Kabir, revealed the intensity and dedication that went into the filming process.
Hrithik shared his emotions on wrapping up War 2, writing, “It’s a whirlwind of feelings as the cameras stop rolling on #War2. 149 days filled with intense chases, action, dance, blood, sweat, and even injuries… every moment was truly worth it!” He also praised Jr NTR, saying, “@tarak9999 sir, working with you has been an absolute honor—we’ve created something truly special together.”
Appreciating his co-star Kiara Advani, Hrithik wrote, “@advani_kiara I can’t wait for the world to see your fierce avatar — you’ve been incredible to share the screen with.” He wrapped up his message with heartfelt thanks to the entire cast and crew and reflected on bidding farewell to his character, Kabir: “It’s always a bittersweet feeling to wrap up Kabir. It’ll take me a few days to feel like myself again. Now begins the journey of bringing our film to you on August 14th, 2025.”
Jr NTR, making his debut in the War franchise with War 2, shared his thoughts on Instagram, saying: “And it’s a wrap for #War2! There’s so much I’m taking back from this experience. Working with @iHrithik Sir has been a blast—his energy is truly inspiring. I’ve learned so much from him throughout this journey.”
