Weather Forecast and warning: Anticipated Isolated Heavy Rainfall in multiple states

The meteorological landscape over India is marked by dynamic systems, each contributing to a unique weather pattern. Currently, a low-pressure area persists over the East-central Arabian Sea, influencing the weather across various regions. Here’s a detailed overview of the prevailing conditions and what to expect in the coming days.

Influence of Easterly/Northeasterly Winds and Cyclonic Circulation:

Strong easterly and northeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal are prevailing over Southeast peninsular India, while a cyclonic circulation exists over the Comorin area in lower tropospheric levels. These factors are expected to bring light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over south Peninsular India. Additionally, light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall is forecasted over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra for the next two days, with a subsequent decrease.

Heavy Rainfall Forecast for Specific Regions:

Isolated heavy rainfall is anticipated over Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Puducherry & Karaikal on the 10th of November. Residents in these areas are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions as heavy rainfall can lead to localized flooding and other weather-related hazards.

Western Disturbance Impact:

A Western Disturbance, manifested as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies, extends roughly along Long. 70°E to the north of Lat. 26°N. Under its influence, light to moderate isolated rainfall/snowfall is expected over Uttarakhand on the 10th of November. Moreover, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/snowfall is forecasted over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on the 9th and 10th of November. Isolated light rainfall is also predicted over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and north Rajasthan on the 10th of November.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands Weather Outlook:

Light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is anticipated over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the next 7 days. Residents and visitors should stay updated on local weather advisories for any changes in the forecast.

Rest of the Country:

No significant weather events are expected over the rest of the country. However, it’s advisable to stay tuned to local weather updates as conditions can change.

The diverse weather conditions across India highlight the complexity of meteorological systems at play. It is crucial for residents and travelers to stay informed about the latest weather forecasts and heed any advisories issued by meteorological authorities to ensure the safety of individuals and communities.
