Weather: The weather forecast for the upcoming days indicates a complex pattern of weather systems affecting different parts of India.
A cyclonic circulation over north Telangana and troughs/wind discontinuities from Kerala to north Telangana and from northeast Madhya Pradesh to south Assam are expected to bring scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, along with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and north Coastal Andhra Pradesh on March 20th and 21st. Isolated hailstorms are also likely over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand on March 20th. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Bihar, Odisha, and north Coastal Andhra Pradesh on March 20th.
Further, isolated light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is forecasted over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh on March 20th. Similarly, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam may experience isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning on March 20th and 21st.
Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim are likely to witness fairly widespread to widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning during March 20th-26th. Heavy rainfall/snowfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, and Meghalaya on specific dates in March.
Additionally, a Western Disturbance is expected to affect the Western Himalayan Region from the night of March 23rd, leading to isolated/scattered light rainfall/snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand during March 21st-24th. Isolated hailstorms are likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on March 21st. Strong surface winds are predicted over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh on March 21st.
Furthermore, heat wave conditions are anticipated in isolated pockets over Saurashtra & Kutch on March 20th and 21st, and over southwest Rajasthan on March 23rd & 24th. Hot and humid weather is expected over Rayalaseema, Konkan & Goa, Kerala & Mahe, and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during specific periods in the coming days.
