Weather Forecast: Rainfall, Snowfall, and Thunderstorms Expected in Various Regions

The upcoming days are anticipated to witness diverse weather phenomena across various regions of India, as outlined in the latest weather systems and forecast.

A Western Disturbance, accompanied by a cyclonic circulation over north Afghanistan, is expected to influence weather patterns. This system, coupled with a trough extending to the Northwest Arabian Sea, will lead to widespread light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms over the Western Himalayan Region until March 3rd. Additionally, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and north Madhya Pradesh are likely to experience scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds until March 3rd, 2024.

Furthermore, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab may witness isolated heavy rainfall or snowfall on March 2nd, with possibilities of hailstorm activity in certain areas.

In addition, a cyclonic circulation over Northeast Assam is expected to result in isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh for the next 7 days. Isolated heavy rainfall or snowfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh on March 4th, and over Sikkim on March 3rd. Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura may experience isolated light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning from March 3rd to March 6th.
