Weather Forecast: Rainfall And Thunderstorms Alert

The weather forecast brings insights into various weather systems influencing different regions. A Western Disturbance traverses along the Himalayas, with a fresh disturbance expected to impact the Western Himalayan Region from April 5th. This disturbance will bring isolated to scattered rainfall/snowfall over the Western Himalayan Region and adjoining plains of Northwest India until April 5th.

Additionally, cyclonic circulations over northeast Assam and north Bangladesh will lead to rainfall and thunderstorms over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura from April 2nd to 6th. Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, while Assam & Meghalaya may witness heavy rainfall on April 2nd and 4th.

A trough/wind discontinuity spanning south Tamil Nadu to southeast Madhya Pradesh will bring isolated light rainfall over several regions from April 5th to 7th.

Temperature observations reveal maximum temperatures exceeding normal levels by 2-3°C in various regions, with temperatures likely to exceed the 95th percentile in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh from April 3rd onwards. Heatwave conditions are anticipated in isolated pockets of North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, East Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, and Jharkhand from April 2nd to 6th.

Warm night conditions are expected in isolated pockets of Madhya Maharashtra & Marathwada and Odisha on April 2nd and 2nd to 6th, respectively. Additionally, hot and humid weather is forecasted for Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, and Odisha from April 2nd to 6th.
