In today’s society, it’s important to develop values that respect and promote equality for all genders. Only by doing so can we create a world that is fair and inclusive for everyone. So what values do we need to develop? For starters, we need to value people for who they are, not what they look like or what gender they are. We need to respect people’s choices and boundaries, and support them in their journey to find their true identity.

We also need to value consent. No one should be pressured or coerced into doing something they don’t want to do, regardless of their gender. We need to create a world where everyone feels safe and respected, and that starts with getting everyone’s consent. Ultimately, we need to develop a world where everyone is valued equally, regardless of their gender. Only then can we create a truly fair and inclusive society for all.

By Make education gender sensitive: Although there has been much progress in increasing access to education, progress has been slow in improving the gender sensitivity of the education system, including ensuring textbooks promote positive stereotypes. It is critically important for girls to come out of schools as citizens who can shape a more equal society. There is a tendency in some countries to assume that things are fine as long as there are an equal number of girls in schools.

By Give proper value to ‘women’s work’: Women and girls’ unpaid work provides the foundation for the global economy. This fact needs to be more highlighted in the media, with the private sector and in communities. More research and data on how women and girls contribute to the economy could be useful in promoting the key role they play and the need for proper recognition and compensation. A concerted campaign for equal pay for equal work worldwide is also necessary.
