Women’s empowerment has been a crucial focus in the modern world, as societies recognize the importance of gender equality and the need to provide women with equal opportunities for growth and development. One significant avenue for women’s empowerment is through entrepreneurship. Recognizing this, the MSME Department of Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and FICCI FLO Indore, is organizing an event titled “Women’s Empowerment through Entrepreneurship” during the #MPMSMESummit2023 on 19th June 2023 at Hotel Amer Greens, Bhopal from 4:55 PM – 6:10 PM.
The event “Women’s Empowerment through Entrepreneurship” aims to highlight the potential of entrepreneurship in driving women’s empowerment. It brings together experts, industry leaders, successful entrepreneurs, and aspiring businesswomen to share knowledge, experiences, and strategies for fostering an environment that nurtures and supports women entrepreneurs.
Importance of Women’s Empowerment
Women’s empowerment is essential for achieving gender equality and promoting social and economic development. When women are empowered, they become active contributors to society, driving positive change and creating a more inclusive and prosperous future. Entrepreneurship provides a powerful platform for women to unleash their potential, take control of their destinies, and make meaningful contributions to the economy.
Role of Entrepreneurship in Women’s Empowerment
Entrepreneurship offers women the opportunity to pursue their passions, convert their ideas into viable businesses, and become self-reliant. It enables them to overcome societal barriers, break stereotypes, and challenge the traditional gender roles that hinder their progress. By starting their ventures, women gain financial independence, access to networks, and a platform to influence and inspire others.
Initiatives by the MSME Department, MP
The MSME Department of Madhya Pradesh is at the forefront of promoting women’s entrepreneurship. It has introduced various schemes and initiatives to empower women and create an enabling environment for their business ventures. These initiatives include financial support, skill development programs, mentorship, and access to markets and networks.
Collaboration with FICCI and FICCI FLO Indore
The partnership between the MSME Department, MP, and FICCI/FICCI FLO Indore brings together the government and industry stakeholders to jointly work towards women’s empowerment. FICCI, as a leading business organization, and FICCI FLO Indore, a women’s wing of FICCI, provide expertise, resources, and a network of professionals to support women entrepreneurs in their journey.
Event Details
The “Women’s Empowerment through Entrepreneurship” event is scheduled to take place on 19th June 2023 at Hotel Amer Greens, Bhopal. It will be a gathering of thought leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and aspiring businesswomen, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration.

The event will commence with an opening ceremony, followed by keynote speeches from renowned industry experts. A panel discussion will delve into topics such as access to finance, mentorship, market opportunities, and overcoming challenges faced by women entrepreneurs.
