On the occasion of Holika Dahan, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, participated in a procession organized in Gorakhpur to honor the devotee Prahlad.
The legend of Prahlad is an important part of Hindu mythology and is celebrated during the festival of Holika Dahan. Prahlad was a devotee of Lord Vishnu and was saved by the lord from the clutches of his father, the demon king Hiranyakashipu. The festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
The Chief Minister, who is also the head of the Gorakhnath temple, walked alongside the procession carrying the idol of Prahlad on his shoulders. He also took part in the prayers and rituals conducted during the procession.
In his address to the devotees, Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of preserving the traditions and culture of the country. He also urged the people to follow the path of righteousness and work toward the welfare of society.
The participation of the Chief Minister in the procession has been hailed by many as a gesture of respect toward the religious sentiments of the people. It also showcases his commitment to preserving the culture and traditions of the state.
