Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah addressed the distribution program of over 2,800 appointment letters in the Tripura Government via video conference. During his speech, Shri Shah emphasized the transformation in the state’s job allocation process.
He highlighted that earlier, government jobs were distributed based on political favoritism, but today, the Tripura government ensures employment opportunities are given with complete transparency and without discrimination, recommendation, or corruption.
A New Beginning for Tripura’s Youth
Amit Shah commended the Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, for initiating a new chapter in the lives of 2,807 youth by providing them with government jobs. These include 2,437 Multi-Tasking Staff positions and 370 positions in the Health Department.
He noted that these appointments integrate the youth into Tripura’s development and contribute to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed Tripura and a developed India.
Northeast’s Journey Towards Development
Amit Shah emphasized that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the Northeast region has witnessed remarkable development. He stated that over the past decade, Union ministers have visited the region more than 700 times, ensuring positive initiatives.
He pointed out that the Northeast, once known for insurgency, blockades, and corruption, is now recognized for progress, connectivity, investment, and agricultural growth.
Peace and Stability in Tripura
Amit Shah highlighted that the Modi government has signed three agreements in the last ten years to ensure permanent peace in Tripura. He mentioned that the government has transformed the lives of the Bru-Reang community by providing permanent residency, education, healthcare, and job opportunities. Additionally, he stated that all insurgent groups in Tripura have surrendered and joined the mainstream, fostering stability in the region.
Transforming Tripura’s Infrastructure
Amit Shah praised the efforts of former Chief Minister Biplab Deb and the current leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha in ensuring holistic development in Tripura. He noted that in the past seven years, the state has achieved more growth than in previous administrations.
The Modi government has converted Tripura from a landlocked state to a land-linked one through initiatives such as airport development, road expansion, water harvesting, and irrigation projects.
A Commitment to Development
The Union Home Minister concluded by reiterating that the biggest achievement of the government has been eradicating corruption and unrest in Tripura. He assured that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Government of India remain fully dedicated to the state’s progress, ensuring a prosperous future for its people.
