In response to the devastating train accident in Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced financial support from the PM’s National Relief Fund. Families of the deceased will receive ₹2 lakh each, while ₹50,000 will be granted to the injured. This gesture aims to aid the affected families in the wake of this unfortunate incident.
Ex-gratia from Union Railways Minister
Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has also declared ex-gratia payments for those impacted by the train derailment. Families of the deceased will receive ₹10 lakh, with ₹2 lakh earmarked for grievously injured individuals, and ₹50,000 allocated for those with minor injuries. These financial provisions are intended to offer support and assistance to the affected families during this challenging time.
Prime Minister’s Involvement
Following the tragic train accident, PM Modi engaged in discussions with Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw to assess the situation and ensure appropriate measures were in place to address the aftermath of the incident. The government is committed to providing all necessary aid and support to those affected by the derailment.
