Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu Commends Citizens for High Voter Turnout in Elections

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed admiration for the citizens of the state, acknowledging their remarkable dedication to democratic principles during the recently concluded Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

“I bow to citizens of Arunachal Pradesh for displaying exemplary commitment to democratic ethos by their spirited participation in the elections,” remarked CM Pema Khandu, highlighting the impressive voter turnout of 77.70% in the Lok Sabha elections and 82.95% in the Assembly polls.

CM Khandu applauded the overwhelming participation of electorates, emphasizing the crucial role they play in shaping the democratic process. He also praised the indomitable spirit of polling personnel and security forces who overcame challenging weather conditions and tough terrains to ensure the smooth conduct of elections across the state.

With about 50,000 officials managing 2,226 polling stations, the task was enormous. CM Pema Khandu extended his compliments to the Chief Electoral Officer Arunachal Pradesh for overseeing the polling process and ensuring the logistics for simultaneous elections in the state in a free and fair manner.

The successful conduct of elections in Arunachal Pradesh stands as a testament to the collective effort and dedication of citizens, polling personnel, and security forces, reflecting the spirit of democracy upheld by the people of the state.
