Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma spearheaded a landmark initiative aimed at fortifying the state’s information technology (IT) network. CM Conrad K Sangma highlighted the importance of the MoU, stating, “Presided over the signing of a path-breaking MoU between Power Tel and the Information Technology and Communications Department, Government of Meghalaya for Last Mile Connectivity and establishment of International Internet Gateway among other collaborations and partnerships for robust IT network in our State.” This strategic collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for socio-economic development and connectivity enhancement.

The MoU signifies a crucial step towards enhancing Last Mile Connectivity and establishing an International Internet Gateway in Meghalaya.
