Colorado: Colorado paraprofessional Kiarra Jones finds herself in legal trouble after being arrested for assaulting children with disabilities. Jones, who worked as a bus aide to assist children with autism and other disabilities in commuting between school and home, is at the center of a disturbing incident.

Newly released surveillance footage depicts Jones physically assaulting a disabled 10-year-old boy, sparking outrage and concern. The video captures Jones punching and stomping the child, leading to widespread condemnation of her actions.

In response to the incident, three families have initiated legal action against Jones, citing behavioral changes and physical injuries observed in their children over the past six months. The injuries reported include scratches, bruises, a lost tooth, a broken toe, a black eye, and other bodily harm.

Jones’s arrest on April 4 followed the discovery of the disturbing surveillance footage, which showed her hitting a student in the abdomen and mouth. The incident has shed light on the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children, particularly those with disabilities, within educational and caregiving settings.
